4:20 pm - its that summer of the evening, get ready and roll the cassette!
as if this week isnt going to be hectic enough as it is, i now have to worry about my car and getting it fixed. on friday, i had it parked in front of my house after work and went and took a nap. when gus got home, he brought in a note from my car. jack, the kid upstairs, witnessed someone hit my car and drive away. THANKFULLY he got the license plate number. at first glance, it didnt look like anything at all. come to find out, its going to be about $400 worth of work seeing as the guy broke my tie rods, bent some other rod, and fucked up the front end alignment. now i have to deal with an insurance company thats not mine and trying to get them to foot the bill. theyd better not try anything funny because their client sideswiped a parked car and drove away. if i have to pay a single cent i'm going to throw the biggest hissy fit.

Primal Scream are playing Monday through Wednesday at Irving Plaza in NYC
I'm thinking of taking Monday off of work, taking the Chinatown express to NYC, going to the show, and then taking the Chi-town back.

Anyone in Boston care to join?
Anyone in NYC going to the show?

gus and i went to the enormous room in central last night cause word on the street was that this dj spun soul and rare groove. we met up with floorboard, and then others showed as well. the music was amazing. now if only you could dance. the bar is the hangout for harvard business types. the drunk girls danced... and poorly at that. the music was great though, definately worth checking out every thursday, especially since hip hop dj extraordinaire Edan spins every other thursday.

more motivation for the night. time to get off my ass and do it.

10:15 am - my eulogy to a rock legend
lets discuss how influential the who have been on my life. they were my first arena rock concert, and it was a damn fine concert. in a time when i only listened to 60s british invasion, they were the only band, even including the beatles, whos later material i thouroughly enjoyed. it paved the way for me become the music geek and 70s arena rock fan that i am today. as a bass player, i always aspired to be able to play like john entwistle. he was phalf of the greatest rhythm section to ever grace rock and roll.

he'll be missed.

Dear people who read this who live in NYC.
This is an open invitation to you. This saturday night the cignal will be playing at NYC's tiswas. Seeing as this is our second time playing in nyc, we have the opening slot of 9:30. I know its hard to get out of the house and to a dance night by 9:30, but if you can make it we'd truley appreciate it. The more people that show support, the better our chances are of coming back and playing more often. Please also stay for performances from the Low Flying Jets, and the Sights (Dave from Moods for Moderns), as well as djing by resident dj's Nick Marc and Justine, as well as the members of ASH. Stay. Dance. Spread the word. Have fun.
Thanks in advance.
Nick

awesome day turned kind of shitty at the end.... but then again, it was after midnight so its technically a different day

i got up (somewhat) early and saw parts of massachusettes i've never seen before. i went to salem, and bought pat a simpsons lunch box at a thrift store as a "you almost chopped off a finger" gift. saw the coast, and hung out in gloucester. drove home singing and dancing to the new they might be giants album which has become a new fave.

then i went to see ANDREW WK, who rocked extremely hard and still made me laugh. cant wait to see him again in april with FLICKERSTICK.

met up with everyone including jersey kids at foleys, had fun minus the fight that some kids were trying to start with us. then we got dicked over on this cab ride home. what should have cost $8 cost $22. we told him off though.

good night. i'm going to listen to this song over and over again.

so i wont know about the job until next week
they said next wednesday at the latest
i'm really hoping i get this
i also think that if i get this, i'm gonna save up and buy a lambretta so i have and easy way to get to and from work every day

so i finally added all the people i've been meaning to to my friends list

its funny, i was looking at all of the friends and realizing that i have little to large crushes on a few of them. i guess thats cause i have a tendency to be attracted to someone i can get along with pretty well, and hence usually am attracted to people that are already friends. we all know that dating/anything happening with a friend is usually bad.

i have to go do laundry

thanks to everyone who came out tonight
i was worried we wouldnt go over well, or i wouldnt have fun... but i had a blast
we played great, even though it was only a 30 minute long set
it was 30 minutes of high energy
at one point i said "its after midnight, its st patricks day, hooray!" not realizing that it was in fact the 16th, NOT the 17th
oh well

was looking forward to seeing some people there, but they didnt show
oh well, i'll see them soon

erin called while we were on stage. if only i heard my phone ring, i would have had her talk to the audience

my bed is calling my name

whoever thinks that after playing you want to go out and party and get girls is dead wrong
